The weather data for my weather station has not been updated in about 2 months, but there really is a good reason for this. We got a new roof. So how does getting a new roof mess up getting up-to-date weather data to my page on Weather Underground? It goes something like this: When we bought our house in May of 2007 we put in a full price bid hoping that the home inspector would say that the roof needed to be replaced soon and that we could go and negotiate that with the owners. Well we were not that lucky and the home inspector said that our roof was good for at least 3 - 5 years. This summer we could see from the ground that there was a soft spot in the roof and it looked like it may have been getting slightly worse. Before chancing another winter with it in the condition that it was in, we decided that it needed to be replaced. I have been wanting our deck to be covered ever since we started talking about putting on a new roof. I kept badgering Erin until she finally caved and let me add a roof over our deck. It was the logic of "Well this is right time to do it if we are going to do it." So after much consideration and begging she agreed that it was right time to add the roof. The next step was looking for a contractor and Erin found Cool Home Improvements. They were not the absolute cheapest bid, but they had a very reasonable bid and after meeting with the owner, Bob, we felt very comfortable choosing them as our contractor. Since we were getting a new roof covering our deck I needed to remove the railings for them to be able to put it in properly. The setup of my weather station was screwed down into the deck railing so I needed to remove it and therfore disconnect everything. I was excited and right after we signed our contract I was out tearing down the railings. Then we waited. It was several weeks before Cool Home Improvements was able to come out and actually start the work. Cool started the work on Friday, November 14th. That weekend we had a cold front roll through the area and the temperature dropped as well as a couple of inches of snow. The guys from Cool came back on Monday morning despite the wretched weather and worked all week, fighting cold weather and more snow through the week. These guys did a fantastactic job and I was very impressed by the work that they did. They finished up on November 21st, and my only complaint, after the snow has melted since they finished, is the cleanup job. That being said, this is exusable do the fact that there was several inches of snow on the ground and when they left you could not see everything that was dropped. If that is the worst thing that I can complain about, then I have to say Cool Home Improvements did an excellent job on our roof. Now back to the weather station. At this point I am going to wait to remount everything, and I hope to get some of the items on my boxedup account for Christmas. One of the items is a mount to allow me attach this to the gable end of the new roof that we just put on that will give me MUCH more accurate weather data by getting it up and over the roof. So there wont be any new data for at least another few months. Check back to see if I made any progress on this.

Having only lived in Pittsburgh for a short period of time I will be sharing my views on this quirky city. |
GREAT SIGHT.
for the post of download ringtones the secretary general it would be improper to comment
on any of the decisions of the Ministers or their deputies and
especially to give them advice on the procedure to follow. However
having a 15 year-long personal experience with the Council of Europe,
if I may, beyond this add, that I fully share the spirit and the
targets of the nextel ringtones Juncker-report on how to confirm the Council of Europe’s
role in order to become a more effective partner in building Europe. I
personally particularly welcomed his recommendation on the required
profile of the future candidates for the post of the Secretary General,
who should be „leading political figures, whose past work for
democratic security has already given them a high and positive
profile”. Apparently Prime Minister Juncker’s recommendations – and the
subsequent ministerial decision on their implementation – have had a
considerable positive effect: I have to compete with excellent
candidates who deserve all my personal and professional respect, and I
feel really honoured to be a part of this contest. I also believe that
the Ministers funny ringtones and their deputies are fully entitled to form an opinion
on the candidates.
