Last week Bob invited the wife and I to attend a Pittsburgh Pirates game since he won some tickets from a charity event that he went to.  I have to say it was a gorgeous evening at PNC Park which always makes the experience much better.  

 I was actually fairly impressed by the performance that I saw.  Now the Pirates were playing San Francisco but overall I have to say that what I witnessed was not completely awful play.  I mean there were very few errors and actually a double play.  It was also a slugfest, which is always makes for good time.  The final score was 12 to 6.

Right now they are only 2 games out of .500 and only 4.5 games out of the lead.  They have also put together a 5 game winning streak.  Will they actually have a winning season this year?  I know it is early and there is plenty of time for them to go back to their old ways before the season is out.  But right now it appears that there may be some hope.
