All-Clad Factory Sale

all-cladA few weeks ago Bob suggested going to the All-Clad Factory Seconds Sale that is held twice a year, once in June and the other in December.  Being a self proclaimed "foodie" it did not take much convincing to get me to want to go.  We even let our wives come with us. OK, so they wanted to go as much as we did.  This weekend was the big weekend.  The sale is held Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.  Since all of us work during the week we decided that Saturday was the best day to go.  I know we should have taken a vacation day to make sure that we went on Friday, but since they hold stock back for each day we figured we would be fine.

The sale is held at the Washington County Fairgrounds and starts at 9:00am.  We arrived at around 9:15 after the longest wait in the Starbucks drive through in Canonsburg.  There was no problem parking and it was just a short little walk to the building.  It was bit chilly this morning even though it was just a quick walk.  The event is held inside, and with how cold it was this morning, was a godsend.

There was a myriad of pots, pans, and kitchen gadgets.  It was a cooks dream to see all of the different items.  I even spotted an aspargus cooker....yes an asaparagus cooker.  I never knew they even made such a thing.   As you can see from the picture there were just piles of pots and pans everywhere.  The prices were pretty good too.  Everything looked to be at least 50% off.  You did have to be careful and look at everything to make sure that it was not too scratched or dinged for your liking.  There were some things that I would not pay the asking price because of how banged up it was, but there were plenty of item that were not visibly damaged or only had very slight blemishes.

My wife and I restrained and made it out of there with only a 12" Skillet and a 2 quart sausier.  Bob, well he and his wife did not make it out as cheaply as we did, but they too demonstrated some restraint and were smart enough to use the opportunity to pick up some Christmas gifts.

The last thing I want to say is how friendly everyone was.  All of the All-Clad employees were extremely helpful and there were plenty of people there to help.  You can tell they have done this before.  We did not even have to wait to check out.  On our way out even the parking lot attendants made sure to thank us for stopping.  I have to say it was a very fun experience and I look forward to going back to future shows.
